Viewer Question from chefdlc: Hi Everyone---I’m hoping to try my first yarn dyeing experiment this week. I was wondering, does the citric acid in the pot exhaust along with the dye? If I want to do a second layer of color in the same dye pot, do I need to add more acid too?

AMA Thread: "My question is more of a “is there any reason not to” kind of question. I have roaster oven which I do not use. Somehow I thought I would use it for entertaining (silly me, since I’m an introvert and inviting people over is super stressful for me). Anyhow, I’m wondering if you can think of any reason why I couldn’t use it for heat setting the yarn? It’s self contained, has a rack and vented lid which I can close up with foil and uses standard oven heat settings like 350, etc. I know that I could not use it for food once I’ve used it for yarn, but at least I would be using it instead of it taking up closet space with no purpose for its life." - ClassicalGirl
